CPU temp:

low = 31 C
high = 36 C
avg = 33 C

Case temp:

low = 26 C
high = 28 C
avg = 26 C

I'm wondering if this is reasonable temperature for a computer? I'm thinking of adding another case fan... but I'm not sure if I really need it.

To me these temperatures seem quite low. what do you folks think?

Case is generic ATX, self-modded.

not true......it depends on how many you have now and how they are positioned......

chances are another fan will help. but it COULD inhibit airflow if not put in the right place......if you want to tell us how they are postioned now we can help determine if another will help.......

BUT........those temps are pretty rockin anyway.......especially for an AMD

^very true.

If those temps are accurate, then you are rocking. Those are great temps. You may want to run a burn in test such as prime95 to make sure the load temps (highest processor utilization and highest processor temps) are OK. As long as you stay under 50C you should have no problems. I run a few of my AMD's b/n 45-54C all day long

well, I just bought the Thermaltake TT420AD 420W power supply. My rails have stabilized for the most part and are within tolerance (will post up numbers later).

Only problem with the TT-420AD is that even though it has two fans, there are a million wires all over the place in my case! I'm about 34 C on my CPU and 27C on my case (room temperature room).

Anyways, I don't have a pic yet (where can I host one?). If you want to picture it, on my ATX 18" case, I have a fan right (intake) where the top two drivebays are, one fan (intake) in the bottom intake area of the front of the case, and then one fan (exhaust) in one of the two fan outlets near the power supply area. And then the power supply has two fans.

I'm thinking of moving the one sitting in the front drive bays onto the side panel so it blows air right into the CPU and AGP slot. Do you think this is a good idea?

My CPU temps are usually 48 - 54 c...
Is this bad for a Mobile Athlon 2500+ @ 200x11?
