Did anyone read the psu mod article in MaximumPC??

It showed how to remove the psu connectors from the cables then you can put a sleeve over the cables ( I have some UV mesh sleeve material ) to give it a cleaner look.

I tossed the mag and forgot to save the article and now I dont remember how to remove the wires from the plugs.

Does anyone know how to get them out???

I figured out how to remove the pins.

Looking at the female end of the plug, use a small flat head screwdriver (one used for glasses is small enough).
There are 2 slots/tabs on the side of the metal plug on the end of each wire.
Push the screwdriver down between the plastic plug and the metal wire plug and press those tabs in. The wires will now pull out of the plastic plug.
Pay attention to the color location of each wire.
1 is yellow 2 is black 3 is black 4 is red
I used tape to mark the #2 black wire.
When reassembling, push the metal wire plug into the plasting and this time put the screwdriver inside the metal female end and push the tabs back out to lock them into place.

Now my power wires have UV wire mesh sleeves over them for a cool mod.

there is a small tool for less than a dolar (usually) that can help.... it is used for both pins like those used in the molex plugs and the other end is for taking apart serial cables... DB9/DB15/DB25 etc.

Look for it at Radio shack or Graybar.....or similar.

Good day fellas - I just bought this tool at Radio shack and it's for removing the molex pins. It works great too and I wouldn't use anything else.
Also, I just have to mention this because I messed this up. Remember to put the pins back EXACTLY the way they came out or you'll ruin your hardware.

Here's the linkCheck it out
