Firewall trouble

My school has a firewall that prevents me from doing just about anything online. I can't play video games, use bit torrent or even use aim. I wanted to know if anyone knows any ways around it. My os is win xp home edition. Any advice?

Its probably a hardware firewall with administrator rights and password protected.
You can't really do anything about that.

hey since you're helping me already can you answer me one off topic question? What's a good cheap video card that'll play doom 3 well? I have a fx 5200 and it only gets almost 1000 3d marks on 03. I figure ill need at least 4000 to play it the way i want.

There is a firewall in your school for a reason. Most of them are pretty hard to get past and I wouldn't even try. Look into a 9600pro for a good d3 card. You can get one for a little more than $100 new.

It is possible to bypass a hardware firewall, however I would not try it if I were you. Your school wil view it as Hacking and you WILL get in trouble.
My guess would be that all additional ports are closed and only port 80 (HTTP) is open. It may be possible to scan for an open port, but be carefull as there is likely to be a log file in use.
Best if you leave it alone, you might get kicked out of school.
