You can find how to it in your display properties. Don't be afraid to explore. =]

Hmm.. Did you check in the tab that says "Advanced"? Once you open that there should be a tab for monitor selection.

Ok. Go into display porperites\settings\advanced\troubleshooting and try adjust the hardware acceleration slider. I don't actually know if this will do anything. But it can't hurt to try.

Also, what kind of "cable" are you referring to? S-Video? And when you say lagging, is it lagging on the TV only or both?

Ok, have you got the S-video cable runing straight to the TV, it CANNOT be run through the video (Macrovision encoding)

Also is the Vid card Macrovision suported? if not the software DVD player will not allow you output to a T.V (anti-pirate feature, as you could copy to a VHS tape).

Are you using a standard length S-vid cable? too long and it will corrupt the signal.

check the display settings and make sure its set to composite output! If you are not using the s video straight to the s-video input on the T.V and have it pluged into a copmosite (RCA / phono connector) and the card is outputing S-video then the picture will be distorted / fuzzy and black and white / out of sysc.

If you can see your desktop on the T.V fine, but Movies are not output correctly, it probably means your software will not let you output to TV as Macrovision (anti-copy protection) is not implimented on the TV encoder on the card. try a different software DVD decoder, The ATI decoder (or ATI based players) should work as it does not support Macrovision so it will output regardless.
