hahah - yeah it should be fun. Actually, the guy i got it from had 6 (!) z680 subs connected to a Klipsch pro media 5.1 system.... That's like 1200 WATTS from the subs alone!!!!!! Crazy! _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

EVO where'd you get the sub link and how's it hook up? I wouldn't mind hooking up another sub for my Z-5300s. _________________ Love Is Not Enough... |

the sub i got off of ebay, and, from what i hear, you can connect a secont sub to the system using a regular VGA splitter..... yes, that does mean you can add an second set of 5 satellites too :) . I should have everything in by wednesday so i'll let you know how it works and sounds. _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

| You would think that by using a RCA adapter you would cut down on the preamp incoming signal. I guess not. Sounds awosome! |

Yeah, you'd probably cut down on the signal and maybe a bit of quality. If you are about the quantity though, its worth the tradeoff =P _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

I'm not sure about the connection on the 5300, but if it uses a regualr VGA-type connector, you might just be able to get away with it. Don't quote me on that....
One thing you should e sure of is that you get a 15-pin splitter. Most of the splitters you'd get today say they're 15-pin but actually have 14pins. That's fine for CRT monitors, but LCD and this sound system use all 15 pins. I bought a splitter like that the first time and lost my rear-left speaker channel on both subs. _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

I bought Z680 two weeks ago from Amazon.com. Z680 sound is truly great sound when watching movie. For Music it needs to be little more crisp. I love the Z680 decoder(from Cirrus Logic) better than my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum hardware decoder. I use Monster Digital Coaxial Cable for Dolby Digital and DTS movies and Analog cable for Game.
One thing about this speaker is that, the hissing/ white noise issue when there is no signal that I can hear from 2 to 3 feet away from all of my 5 speakers. Even If I deattach all the cable connected to Control Pod, it still hiss. I try to troubleshoot the problem but still no solution yet. I called the Logitech Customer support they told me to return it. Therefore I am thinking about returning this because of hissing.
Is Z5500 hissing for 2 to 3 feet away? I heard it from Maximun PC that Z5500 speakers still has hiss from center channel.
If Z5500 is still hissing I will have to buy Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1. I hate to go with Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 also because their Amplifier blow all the time. _________________ Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHZ
