Does anyone else here have these speakers? Right now I have Z-640s, and I love them, but I'm thinking about buying Z-560s since the price has gone down so much...and 400W kicks!

What's the general thought? Should I stay with the 640s (keeping 5.1) or switch to 560s (taking the 4.1 THX but upgrading to 400W)?

The question is. Are you happy with what you have? Cause 400W is not going to do you any good if you can't put your current speakers on full volume. What's the difference if you can have your volume knob 1/4 of the way up or 1/2 of he way up?.. Still the same volume.

I have a fairly small room, and I do use my speakers a lot. Usually I just play music, but I also watch DVDs via laptop plus a nice large monitor (:

I have heard the Z-560s once before, and they had a really nice sound.

I think the z640's are great. I don't think you will notice a great increase in sound quality or performance for the money you will spend. If you have the money, then maybe you would enjoy a nice set of new speakers.

stick with your existing speakers and put the money towards a hardware upgrade.
