Is there any particular reason I cannot manually set a MOBO to use a CPU hight than the BIOS will auto support by it's "HW" feature?
For example...
My MSI K7T 266PRO by it's bios only will auto support up to an XP2000 CPU.
But the multipliers will take 15X133 which would take me well past the needed setting for an XP2100 CPU.

As long as I choose the "user define" options for the FSB and Multiplier....then it would seem that I could do this.
