You know what I miss, now that we've had it a few days. Cooperative mode.
2Y2C and I played d2, heretic, hexen all them, coop....That's how he learned to play, since he was a little snit.
I had just hoped since they were fairly true to the original game they would have included it.
Oh well.

This game is one of the best games i have ever played, graphically.

What is the use in playing this game if it isn't on veteran or nightmare? What difficulties does everyone play?

I have not used any codes for this game, and I won't untill I beat the game on my own. But I do have one question, how come it when I use the give dom95 command it doesn't do anything when I am at the menu, and when I am playing hte game, it just says unkown stat added to player's inventory? I wanna play Doom 95!!

I think Farcry was a little more tactical than Doom3 is, but FarCry doesn't let you hack people up with a chainsaw.

I tried the 'give doom95 code' and it didn't work for me. Anyone else have luck with that code?

NO WAY!!!! It must be the extra processor power kicking in for ya, cause my 9200 Pro had the autodetection at medium with the lowest screen size (640 or whatever) I moved it up after i enabled my l2 cache and it plays around 50 FPS. What are ur FPS TH.

U have to download a program named FRAPS. Google for it, then u install it, and it will go to ur taskbar when u run it, and then play the game and a number will appear in one of the corners, and u just note what its at, high and lows, then after u have played and gotten a general idea u report it :) (This information stolen from Josh a couple days ago)

use fraps, or go to the d3 console (ctrl+alt+~), and type in com_drawfps 1,

^^^This is strange...its almost as if lower end cards perform better? From what i hear, ppl are using cards like 5500 on highest 1024 at great FPS with no configs or major OCing, whereas 6800's and 5950 are stuck at medium/high at 800*600?

What is this, a myth, or a great sign for poor people?

Bro.... Ripping is where you take something like paper and hold two ends and then move your hands quickly in opposite directions without letting go.

What I did is take one CD of the game and a blank CD and Downloaded it onto another CD. I don't want to call it burning becausing I am copying something.

Whatever you want to call it, I still got it done before you did. Don't get your panties in a knot.

BTW....at 800*600 and med detail i get about 30 fps on average......=]

2004-08-09 21:00:16 - Doom3[800x600 high]
Frames: 2132 - Time: 41292ms - Avg: 51.632 - Min: 27 - Max: 138

2004-08-09 21:14:49 - Doom3[1024x768 high]
Frames: 2138 - Time: 61378ms - Avg: 34.833 - Min: 18 - Max: 96

if you have fraps you can find these by right clicking My computer>C:(or were ever you have fraps installed)>fraps>frapslog it should just display in notepad.

Hmmm.. I have lost all faith in 5200 FX

I am running the game on the lowest detail and resolution and its still a BIT choppy. Makes me very sad.
