ITS GREAT!!!!!!!!! sweet game.... HAHA JOSH... but ne ways, i have it on second to last settings with 800x600 and... it still lags... a lil, but i dont want 640 so i might take it down to lowest settings so i dont lag.... if ne one feels sorry enough for my 9200 pro and would like to donate a card i would be very grateful... but i suspect the doom monsters wouldnt... muahahahahaha as i pwn them all!!!

I'm tempted to sell my gf4 mx440 but the fan on the heatsink is crapping out. I'll see what I can do. It won't look as good but it should play a bit faster.

Im soooooo pleased with this game, im on medium detail 640 x 480 with my 9200 pro, no skipping, no lagging, and i have to say, these graphics on these low settings are 10 times better than the battlefield vietnam graphics on FULL!!!! and FTR try taking off shawdowing because it takes a huge amount of card power to do the shadowing. THIS GAME IS SICK!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm , I must admit I am a bit disappointed so far.
Only played the first couple of levels, but they are way to dark in my opinion. And it's anoying that you can't use flashlight and hold a weapon at the same time.
Also the enemies are a bit lame in my opinion,...at least he "zombies"...
Hope it gets better soon..

If you could use your weopan and your flashlight at the same time, the gameplay would be degraded big time. If you had a flashlight attached to a gun, you could just blast your way throw the whole game, and that is not how it is meant to be played. It's a horror game, not an arena game.

I know it's a horror game. And the darkness is a major effect...but when it's always dark, I think it looses the impact.
Like what is dark when there is no light? It's just generally too dark, the administration area for example could have been better lit, so when you went down in a tunnel, it's dark.
And you need your flashlight....and maybe you could use the flashlight with a small weapon like the pistol. But if you use it to much, the batteries go down and you gotta get more from a supply cabinet.
Don't get me wrong... I love the game... I forgot how much I missed the old shotgun.

haha, lets keep it up u guys, hear that, josh is gonna jump off a bridge

I have been using my flashlight a lot, i didnt know it could run out... that just scares me more, but yea, its def really dark, the whole thing, it makes it less scary when u end up in a dark tunnel with enemies attacking u, and i think that the plot is a little to close to the origional half life so far.... but back to the game.
