Yes, I had to view the post up to 105 in order to read this. Hmmm.

I am going to play D3 right now! I only have 3 or 4 autosaves and not too much time under my belt. This game is too cool to wait!

I agree..great shooter. But, I'm stuck in Alpha Lab 1...can't find the elevator to Alpha Lab 2. Anybody been there?

im at Delta Labs 1 man this game has scared the s*** outa me more times than i can count lol woot woot. also i get about 12-30 FPS in doom3 on 640x480 at medium settings man i fucking hate this 5200 i wish it would die and my 9800pro would work.

Hey people, I have a really urgent question...I need to know if a GTR ATI Radeon 9200SE is going to cut it to run Doom 3....I know it's going to be close, but I'm guessing it will. Can anyone help me out? Rest of my system is ok, 480 RAM, Athlon 2200+ etc etc.

Please help, I'm in the middle of an ebay auction!!

Read this...since I have not personally used this board on D3, I cannot say 100%. But there are a couple of ppl on this sight that are using the 9200 to play the game. And...in this article they used a 9000pro 64mb board to play it.

Mmm, I gave it a read....wasn't impressed by those frame rates though. Ah well, it was only intended to be a stopgap card anyway. Don't mind running the great D3 on min spec for a while.

OK, so I've been thinking maybe it's not worth the time getting a 9200SE to run Doom 3 so I've been scouting around for a better card and wondered if you guys could make a suggestion? I'm looking for cost-effectiveness as much as anything else.

There's a Radeon 9600SE 128mb for £42, or would it be worth £87 (more than double) to get the non-SE version?

Or instead I could get a GeForce FX5700 (£6

, FX5700SE (£52 - probably not worth the penny pinching) or a FX5600XT (£54 - don't know what XT is)

I know this is just a load of numbers, but a few recommendations at a glance would really be helping me out....Thanks!!

Never get a SE card if you are a gamer. Worst decision you could ever make. Go the right route and get a non-SE card such as that fx5600xt. That would probably be the best choice of all.

So an Fx5600Xt IS BETTER than a regular 5700? Odd. Why is it better?
