The curved piece on top of the blowhole is the same duct work I have on my CPU heatsink. Nice touch, I just noticed it now.

on his side, its an air filter he made, and on the blow hole is the thermaltake duct mod. check out the mods section on the forums.

The thing sticking out of the side is a Filter for the side fan. http://www.tweaknews.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2721
It does drop the air velocity some, but not as much as you'd think. I'm doing some ests with an anemometer to finish an article I did. I'll post it when It's done.

The top fan is mounted on a Thermaltake fan ducting mod for cpu coolers. When I went to the Zalman, I was looking for something to do with it.

For more info on the filter, go here:

Thanks for the kind words.

It's a carbon fiber look adhesive vinyl. Like contact paper but tough and shiny. There are many online suppliers now and the price has come down since I did it.

I like it too! If you angle that top fan a little more to blow on your face, it would be really cool

Good to see some cable management. Did you notice if it dropped your temps a bit?

It's a clear acrylic skull I bought in a truck stop in Colo. I painted it with UV blue paint.

Oh man, that is sweet. Maybe that skull can be put on the top of the case. It may be possible to let enough light through the top to be seen well.

You could use some UV LEDs to produce an intense spot of UV to light up the skull (or any dark corner of the case for that matter). LEDs are low power so you can ad quite a few without any problems.

Actually, I had a thought about using UV LEDs inside of the water lines on a water cooler, add some UV dye to water and voila you've got a VERY bright water line. Best bit is you could run this wth NO visable signs of UV light sources in your system. Just this wierd glowing radiactive stuff flowing around your pipes!

Nice idea SS.

I really like that skull, looks COOOOOL. Maybe even a white led embedded at the bottom, that would light it up nicely too.
