I would switch your stuff to your Tsunami now and see how that helps.
And get a thermalright CPU cooler, hopefully that can give you an improvement. ? _________________ »4 RS«»1Ж «»1 DENE«»1 FREAKIN LAME OH«»1 MONEY MONEY«

heh... heh... ummm....
this is in the Tsunami ;x.
Also, one thing I've failed to reply to, I do NOT want to go to the zalman 7000cu, because this computer will move a lot, and will go for long car rides, and I'm not about to have 2 lbs yanking at my CPU in those situations. _________________ 91K SIGNATURE IS NOT ALLOWED.

hmmm.. that's not a bad idea. only prob is.. what would I do with the one I have now??? and buying the new one?? Everything is already installed and has been running.. I think unless I want to invest a lot more in it, I'm kinda SOL for the moment... but I should be getting a web dev job here pretty soon (already have one, but it's over the summer, and will be done after that). Anyway.. we'll see how things go. _________________ 91K SIGNATURE IS NOT ALLOWED.

Wow... so part of my problem is DEFINATELY the location.
I took my comp to work to show my friend, and it's runing 40/32.. I even saw the proc drop to 39! I guess I have to focus on better airflow in my room lol. _________________ 91K SIGNATURE IS NOT ALLOWED.

well, at my house you better dress warm or your nipples will posess the strength to cut diamonds. my house temp is 72f and my case is running at 72.5,
in the winter some of us tweakers make a duct mod from a case fan to an outside window, if u dont mind ugly things that could be a temporary solution during cooler days atleast. |

I hate to say it.. but I hate cold environments.. (pay no attention to my name ;x) Recently I lost about 10 lbs, so I'm down to about 125... as a 5'10" 21 year old.. so cold gets to my bones fast.. but I would traverse the mightiest glaciers for my p4 e ;P _________________ 91K SIGNATURE IS NOT ALLOWED.

I take it you had your computer in a cubby hole in your desk right?
Also, that CPU cooler is NOT made for a prescott if I am not mistaken.
Install a proper cooler and only use a very slight smear of AS5 on the cpu heatspreader. Only enought so you can't see the heatspreader metal.
Also, if you can, unplug the side fan and see if you get warm air out the rear exhaust. What might be happening is your rear exhaust is just exhausting cool air from the side intake. _________________ Owner & Administrator

ahhh... interesting... you know, it DOES seem a lot cooler than I thought it should be (the rear exhuast). Another thing I was thiking of, my PSU has 3 fans... and I think the one on the bottom takes air in, which is right above the processor, so it's taking in hot air... is this bad? _________________ 91K SIGNATURE IS NOT ALLOWED.
