Pre-ordered my copy of Doom 3 today.

Did anyone else here whom preordered their copy get the little silver figurine with it? I got the Baron of Hell.

Me? i don't like preordering and never will... even if dates have been officially announced. I've had bad experiences in the past...i'm still waiting for HL2.

I pre-ordered mine at Gamestop. I dunno if they are located in other states or not. lol. They said the game was gonna be like 50 bucks. I don't know if that is a good price or not, but I don't really care.

BestBuy Doom3 preorders come with a poster if I'm not mistaken.
GameStop Doom3 preorders come with Baron of Hell figurine.
EB Doom3 preorders come with Pinky figurine.

Its so hard to choose which game to get and when. Well, HL2 is free with the coupon but D3 isn't. Halo 2 is a must but its off in the distance. I guess we'll see how long HL2 lasts.

I'm not gonna play it untill I upgrade my CPU. :) I don't think my 1133 will cut it...I am gonna try for a 400 FSB AMD Athlon XP

Oh, I'm sure they called around and found the nearest store that had one. (and there's several in the metro area) And, I'm sure the poor Arse had to drive to get it. I'm glad I didn't pre-order after seeing that.
BTW just finished playing for my first couple or three of hours. GOD ...I'd forgotten what carrying the old shotgun was like.

well I had got my pre-order way back in December and kept the receipt and was able to pick up the game yesterday. This was at the Indian Bend store in Scottsdale. What my g/f was told "the pre-order people with their receipt will be able to pick up their game first. Then today Aug 5 the games would be put on the shelf for the general public." That way it would cover all the pre-sales.

This was the PV store and, they set them out on the 3rd when the ad in the paper said available on the 4th.
I was there @ 12:30 pm on the 4th, and they were out.

Also, I just blazed across the way, to compusa, to see if they had any.
Perhaps the pimply faced "blue shirt" didn't know, and a manager had put them away or something. The "old one" didn't hang to find out.
