After doing all of these mods recently, i figured id post up what my machine looks like as well as show my flshlight/ scanner mod... I made a round ide cable for my hard drives, and i went ahead and added wire ties to my blue sleeving to make it look pretty... so... what do u think, modding succesful?

That is nice! what about using some electroluminecent strips on the outside of the case, maybe with words over the top, "pilloted by...." :)
I've got one in progress "Skunk works" this is a big project but should be cool.
Not giving away any hint just yet, but it does involve the use of a small quite high powered tesla coil (tri coloured gas plasma)
Im using 3 diferent type of gas in one tube, each one is lighter than the last so the gasses float on top of each other, damned hard to stop air getting in when filling, air contaminates the gases. the effect is similar to a "Plasma ball"
You can make a cheap plasma ball out of an old clear lightbulb and a ignition coil, just use a light fitting and wire both of the terminals to the output of the coil. Does'nt last a long time as the gas (argon) becomes contaminated by the exposed filiment of the bulb. still cheap and effective though!

Edison sucks . . . Faraday was the electricity pioneer. Edison just stole his ideas and inventions. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

YAY! I like you! :)
Edison did'nt actually invent the incandecent light bulb either, it was made a few months (and demonstrated) before he patented his. I happen to live just down the road from the house where it was invented by Joseph Swan. Another british lad, and a Geordie too boot! (geordie is a term used to decribe a person from the north east of England, I'm one!) I even know what room it was made in, I've been there
As it happens I have a very RARE light bulb, it still works and was made by the "Edison - Swan Royal lightbulb company" don't know its age, but it's been in its, outdoor lamp fitting for a LOOOONG time, the case is cast iron and the fittings are all brass. Rusted solid, never be able to get the bulb out, but it's PERFECT inside. the switch for it was wood and metal, and still turned the light on using the original cloth covered rubber cable.
Edison payed off Swan, out of court setlment as I recall. Swan was ripped off.
BTW we geordies invented the first Railway bridge, then a large number of years later we invented the first Railway (true fact!!)
We invented steam trains. And had the first house to be lit by electricity.
And could this post be anymore off-topic?
Sorry guys
