... ask and u shall reciece.
http://www.mnpctech.com/DremelCircle.html
For installing a blow hole or fan hole in your computer you have to have some special tools.
These include… DREMEL!!!
First I find that the easiest way to cut a whole in the surface is to use a dremel tool. It works best to have the tool perpendicular to the ground and to cut at a slight downward angle. This also helps to avoid many rough spots.
Gimme a couple more minutes and ill have those other 2 for u eh. |

| Ok, i couldnt easily find a guide for adding a window so i wrote my own. First, get ur dremel ready. Measure out the size of the area u want windowd and start cutting with the same technique as above. The drill multiple holes around the outside of the hole for screws. Use bolts to attach a piece of plexiglass... do this away from ur computer so as to not fill it with little metal shards eh... and its a good idea to tape it all up. Ill find another guide but thats teh jist... or ill write a more throurough one eh... Hope that helps... and any other mod questions just ask me and i shall hook u up... :) sry bout the three posts, found the stuff seperately. |

instead of useing a disc on the dremel, cause u can slip or soemthing , you can jsut use a full circle and drill straight down :) i would think that'd be easier.... _________________ HAD TO GET RID OF MY SIG BECAUSE THE OTHER ONE WAS TOO LEET (FILESIZE LMAO!)

| um... if u could find a full circle... im not sure that i have ever seen one but yea... if u could find a full circle shaped dremel to drill straight down with that would work, just hold it steady, then u can use a regular tip to drill in the wholes, measure all this out though eh. |

| um.... that looks good, make sure its going to be the right size. Its a pretty big hole and i dont think taht one of those is going to ... (cut it hahaha). Um i have never used one before, i have however used the dremel like that over the wood, and then just sand it down with another dremel attachement once finished... Try it and tell us how it works though if it indeed will cut a whole large enough. |

you would need to use a normal drill to be able to use a hole saw. but yes you can use that method as well. I use it for 60mm holes and smaller. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

More templates and info at pimprig.com A 120mm hole is the same as a cd
or a 4 1/2" hole saw. a 80mm needs a 3" hole saw. If you use a dremel with
a cutoff wheel I recommend the heavy duty discs that mnpctec.com sells.
they last several times longer and are easier to control. Good luck.
p.s. measure twice cut once _________________ Antec 1080 AMG

76mm is 2.92 inches. 80mm is 3.14 inches. Maybe he was converting 3" to mm and came up with 76mm b/c a 76mm hole saw doesn't exsist.
My favorite method of making holes is using a jig saw and making my own template by tracing the inside of the fan onto the case itself. You can also put some tape down to keep the case from getting scratched up. You will need to drill a 3/8" hole or bigger in order to use the jig saw.
If you search this site, you will find another thread with the same topic. It hasn't been too long since it was made. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |
