Makes a great muffler for the fan as well. I now run this fan on high (12v)
and the others on low (7v). The case temp has dropped from 81F to 79F with ambient at 74F.

Not the most attractive mod I've ever done, but I like it!

I like it!

It got my thought process going on how I can filter two of my intake fans.

The filter is available at most auto parts stores. Got mine at AutoZone. It's a "4 inch replacement filter for 1 and 2 Bbl. Carbs." $6. I cut a circle from a sheet of thin aluminum 3.75" in dia. to cover the outward facing part of the filter and covered it with carbon fiber vinyl to match the front of my case and sandwiched the filter and circle between a fanguard and the fan/window. There is an O-ring between the fan and window to isolate vibration.

Though I have no way to measure flow, It SEEMS to flow as well or better than with just the fanguard.

Thanks!

do you have any "before and after" temps for when you installed that duct on the top? did it lower temps? that looks sweet too!

it is a damn good idea to keep dust out of your pc. my method is to just make the air push any dust that could build up. i have a case mod coming up that should blow the . . . er . . . mouse of of your table. it will include approximately 8-80mm fans and some screen to cover them a bit. maybe i'll finally put that cts brake light in it too.
