Hey guys back again, Im attempting to install a linux distribution. Everytime i download what should be an .iso file, i open up WinRAR to find that there are tons of files that and it looks like a data cd. I noticed this before when downloading linux distributions. Will it hurt to burn as a data cd with bootable selected or is there something that i can do to actually download an iso file instead of the data itself. Perhaps is there a program doing this, its a fresh install of XP pro so i dont think that its any hijacker stuff. please help as i dont like windows |

| Hey guys, i managed to fix my own problem. WinRAR has a file extension of .iso so it can view them. I had installed WinRAR before Nero and so WinRAR was getting first dibbs on the iso. Simply unclicked the check from the box next to iso in WinRAR and made the new file open with Nero instead. Hope this might be able to help ne other people not quite as up on the computer world as say Nathan haha. Dont you love it when you find out ur the cause of your problems? |
