Well, you can't blame them.
With the rampant piracy going on, you have to protect your investment.
The activation shouldn't require a high speed connection nor should it take long. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Exactly, piracy is getting worse and worse. In an age where 12 year olds now often know enough about programing to make a crack security is an ever larger concern to game distributors. I'd like to see these hackers spend 6 months to a year working their asses off, often working 24hr days (when the deadline is looming) to get the game out on time, only to have some hacker crack the game within hours of release and then effectively deny them their paycheck. Several smaller game companies have been put out of business because of piracy, that means job lost and lives ruined. People just don't understand the effect it has on the industry. The whole try before you buy excuse so many people used in the past is a totally BS excuse in this day and age. Demos have more than enough content now to tell you if you will like the game and they are legal.
From all I've seen of the game you should really enjoy it _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

I dont like playing with origional cds. I much prefer to play with a backup copy or a no cd patch. Legally, I am 100% allowed to do so. It pisses me off that there is all of this new stuff happening that makes it so i cant use no cd patches, and I have to get online to start games (steam). These pirates are ruining things for everyone. True people will always steal but I dont think its right that I cant backup some games. I blame that on the game makers |
