Tweaknews gaming team is going to happen people!!

Well, ive managed to organise with nates approval a Tweaknews online gaming team, so i therefore need alot of input from all of you here at TN on what online games you all play. I will run this section for the next 3 weeks until i get Broadband, during these 3 weeks i would like you all to post the name of every online game you play, and for every game which is named by 5 or more ppl (amount of people needed may vary on the game, but 5 is an estimate), i will post links after the 3 weeks for the latest updates and patches for each of these games.
My assumption at the moment is that nate will create a few new sections on the site dedicated to the TN gaming team, but until then, can you all please give me some input,

Call of Duty
Medal of honour allied assault
CS (when i buy it hopefully)
Americas Army

And of course i will be playing the multiplayer versions of HL2 and Doom 3!

yeah..i'm a hardcore warcraft three frozen throne player but I thought were going the FPS route. I'm down for the team too, this'll be fun.

Well, CS, COD and MOHAA are lookin promising and BTW, its not just FPS, any type of online game is a possibility, as long as there is enough interest in it. FPS are generally just the most favoured online game type, so we are bound to have more of them!

gk its going to be 1.6, 1.5 is just not that great, i hate steam but 1.6 looks better better weapons, most of th weapons have been upgraded and do more dmage and are more accurate. the autosnipers are crap anymore. go to www.steampowered.com to download a copy of steam, if you still have your half-life cd key then you can use that to play all the games on steam which is included counter-strike and every mod to half-life that is offical.

When it comes to playing the games, we will use the latest updates and patches for each of the chosen games, so it will be 1.6 for CS.

alright so i downloaded 1.6 steam .. it's cool i just gotta get ust to it... but i get this fatal error message saying LoadTGA: Only type 2 and 10 targa RGB images supported... any ideas?

TBH, i have only played CS at a friends, but i am buying HL, CS, TFC, blue shift and some other mod tommorow morning, so i can get my skills up over the next 3 weeks for when i get broadband and the team is started!! But ill figure out all the updates to let you all know!

BTW, anyone else play TFC?

hey dont buy that pack
its a waste of money but half-life only. steam has all those games and it only requires 1 half-life cd key to play all those games. half-life is like $15 at walmart that big pack is like $30-40.

i would buy the single HL, but i only have 56k so i cant be bothered to download them all, and here in UK, HL is £12, the pack is £20, so for the time it will take me download all the updates, i would rather spend an extra £8.

I know there are still a few more weeks to go before this is set-up and ready, but here are the current standings for games.

CS = 9 (definate)
COD = 6 (definate)
MOH = 4
Halo = 2
Warcraft = 4
BFVietnam = 1
Americas Army = 1
Starcraft = 3
BF1942 = 2

there are still alot more people who havent put their games down, so things will change! BTW, if you havent put your games down, please do even if i have put definate next to the particular game you play, thanks!
