dude fans are goin off on p/s

dude major problems, i have a vantec stealth and just recently the fans just shut off. i have tried the different settings for it ,(auto, medium, and low) and all of the fans completely stop running. i have only had this thing since november so i can not fathom the thought that it is already dead
plleeeaaasee help jaydub, natedogg, master tweakossss help

have you tried the fans w/o the controllers? hopefully it may just be the resistors in the controller going out.
is it possible that the fans need to be cleaned?

how often do they shut off and is it random?

uh well the fans all of a sudden just stopped working... when i flip the switch on the p/s that controls the fans they turn on, but after about 3-4 minutes theyll turn back off. i dont have the pc on all the time the most it is on a day is like 12 hours. this sucks big time the first time i noticed the fans werent working i touched the p/s and it was HOT. do you think that it may be a resistor in the power supply that went out?

oh yeah it is quite possible i need to clean the fans but i just got finished re-routing my wires so removing it would be a pain in the a**

This is a defective power supply.

Return for a replacement.

Most of these carry a warrenty for a year or so. Check your receipt.

well the problem has seemed to stop except now the fans,in the p\s, are always on the low setting no matter what the switch is set to. this is still a major prob cuz 520 watt stealth p\s' arent cheap and they run hot.

yeah just return it ... i believe that they are a 1yr warranty from the manufacturer just hit them up get an RMA and send it out for a replacement... or Frys' might be able to swap it ... just have to find out i guess
