XP Display problem...

I am running xppro on my work computers....and im having a weird diplay problem......

this comp has the msi 865pe Neo 2 mobo, p43.0, blah blah.....

i believe the video card is whatever came with the system......which was custom built for us,.

we asked for no special video card, but its NOT integrated.......it is an agp card, yet it looks like it comes with the mobo, just not "attached"

anyway......everyonce in a while when i boot, it boots up in 16 color, 640x480
when i try to fix it, i dont even have the option to go above 800x600..........none of my advanded nvidia (which im not exactly sure why they are there) controls exist......

but heres the weird one.......as soon as i uninstall the drivers, the display goes back to normal...but runs MADDDDD slow..........really choppy and lines hang and stuff.....and this is just on the desktop.......folder browsing

any ideas?

have you tried updating your drivers? sounds like a driver issue. find out what card you have by looking at the hardware profiles and update it accordingly.

it says its an nvidia geforce 4 something...i dont remember now....but i tried that already....=[

sorry......but yeah.....kinda

its NOT integrated video....but we didnt order a video "card"
i thought it was some weird thing with this certain mobo.....maybe they advertise integrated video but its actually an agp card...i dunno.......i'll get the model # tomorrow it post it up.
