Can anyone reccomend a good case fan or a good make of case fans (preferably 80mm fans)?
Also, if anyone is looking for a good, AMD CPU heatsink, may I reccomend the Coolermaster Aero 7+, keeps things very cool and its pretty quiet! _________________ »4 RS«»1Ж «»1 DENE«»1 FREAKIN LAME OH«»1 MONEY MONEY«

i have always used antec products. there fans are nice and silent.. but if you really want a nice fan go for the cool-master ultra silent fans.
Vantec Stealth 80mm Super-Quiet Fan
Those are nice, also...

I like vantec stealth fans. But then again they are easy for me to get. I believe pabst makes a good quiet fan.
I believe Nathan did a review of the brand Memorex. They has clear fans with LED's that he said performed well and were rather quiet. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

There is no real bad make of fan.
Just make sure you get the ball bearing variety and avoid the sleeve bearing case fan like the plague. _________________ Owner & Administrator

for the 80mm size...
Vantec (or sunon) TORNADO... a very powerfull fan but loud as all hell
Thermaltake Smartfans aren't too bad, offering a bit noisy but good airflow
Antec fans are usually pretty quiet with decent airflow
Sunbeam CCFL fans are also quite good having a bit more noise than "silent fans but having a very nice bit of airflow
Vantec stealthfans are very quiet
SIlenX are supposed to be extremely quiet but i have yet to actually test em... |

If you have a good case, with lots of case fans, Stealths and Panaflos are great. I have 3 Panaflos and 2 Stealth in my main rig, and they offer great performance for the noise level. Proc yet to break 37C under full load.
But if fan locations are limited, better go big and loud. It may sound like a vaccum, but atleast you won't get that burning pcb smell.
