While browsing a few mod sites out there I came across this guide on how to mod your XBox controller to work with your PC. Basically as we all know (or should) the XBox is a PC, following along with that the controllers connect via a modified version of a USB cable. Switching out the modified USB cable w/one your PC can recognize by doing some soldering work will do the trick. And, if you're worried about drivers to allow this controller to work w/ur system don't worry about it...the article includes links to download drivers (of course they weren't written by MSFT tho  ).

I wanted to figure that out I have like 5 xbox contorls the dog chewed the cord on that would have been cool. |

usb is usually colour coded...
on the xbox cables are the wires colour coded?
should have red white and green, and a black. |
