Actually, I didn't make it to this one.
Tips for LAN Parties?
Well, try to always have food and drinks supplied--pizza (good pizza) and soda or maybe some Amp is good to have. Make sure there's enough room for each player so that they're comfortable. Maybe a comfy couch or recliner is onboard so peops can relax after having a brawl for a few hours straight.
Sometimes, having a projector hooked up to one of the puters to have a large image projection of a game or favorite screenshot works well.
Games that are high on the list are the ever popular FPS's and Strategy games. Racing games pull behind because they're usually not as popular...Always contact peops atleast a week in advance to get together a list of games from them to see what's most popular and can be supplied. If most of the people like one particular game, consider adding it to the main LAN server. Always take suggestions because u never know where that killer LAN Party game might crop up. :)
BTW, I still have yet to make it to a LAN party...one of these days I'll pull myself away from work to make it to one. |
