HL2 realease date?

I was just wondering if anyone has any information on the half life 2 release date? ive heard as early as april 14th, and some people say its not coming out til the summer? and some screen shots would be nice if anyone can find some

yeah, i cant see your avatar either. Mine just started to work today, lmao i've had that stupid red x forever. Yeah, my "friend" has the "beta" release, he offered it to me, but i dont want to spoil the final release. Infact im on a team that is making a mod for hl2 called "captive in arms", check out the site at

i just read in a trusting pc games magazine that valve and vivendi have confirmed a definate summer release. Well, at least its better than waiting until the end of september!
