Obviously you didn't do a full format and an install.
How else could you have gotten a virus? _________________ Owner & Administrator

yeah the first time i was just repairing the install... then it went haywire... now its all good... i did reformat twice though and the virus/worm was still there... i had some worm that caused a program to terminate or something... i read it at MSN but just as long as its gone im good... _________________ Remember When Sex was safer than racing???

Nathan you can get a virus even if you fully format the OS. Without a router which I assume he doesnt have the Welchia Worm virus will hammer your computer the second the LAN is activated. I am not sure if this is what is happening in this situation but what I described has happened to me mutliple times until I went out and bought a router. It has happened to a couple of my friends as well. There is a fix for the Welchia Worm but I am pretty sure you can become reinfected so go out and buy a router. The router completely eliminated this problem. _________________ Max OC p4 3.2C @ 3.94 Ghz
