I just got my X-DREAMER case. I went to transfer everything to my new computer case. When I was finished with plugging everything in, I tried to turn on the power. However that didn't work. I checked to see if the switch was set to on. It was. I'm having trouble actually getting power to my motherboard. I have a Abit SA7 motherboard. When my motherboard gets power, a led on the motherboard lights up. However this time it doesn't. I've also tried to use another power supply from my old case. That didn't work. Any ideas?

Also where does the P+ and P- cables go?

The first thing that I would check is the connection for the power switch to the motherboard. Check in your manual for the correct placement.

Just a thought, did you use the motherboard stand-offs? and are they in the correct positions? Because if you have a stray one hitting in the wrong area of the motherboard it can cause it (the computer) to not power up and cause some permanent damage ( in some cases).

Best of luck! If none of these things help lets us know. And if this helped let us know as well. :)

I just got my x dreamer a few weeks ago (fabulous case). i slapped my computer in it, althought I havent had this problem, I would look and the power switch plug on your mobo and try flipping it cause your + & - could be backwards, i had that problem with my hdd light.

It just sounds like you dont have the P+ and P- cables in the right spot. Check your motherboard manual to see where they should go. And yeah I think all the HDD led lights have to be flipped around for them to work properly. Mine didn't work till I flipped it around.

Please think before you post.

He can't get the comp turned on. That is his problem.

l1f3nd347h,

Sounds like you need to check out your motherboard manual and find where to place the appropriate connections for the case switches. That, or make sure the power supply is switched "ON".

I've discovered that it was a shortage. Now I can turn the computer on, however nothign would start. I've gave my computer to my cousin for him to fix.

Thanks.

Is the mobo grounded to the case?

Did you use the fiber washers between mobo and screws?
Try booting with mobo outside of the case, only video card, RAM, and CPU installed. The power switch has to be connected, also. the leads are just long enough to do it.
