Case Wiring ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe and Lian Li PC60H1

Have installed cpu, memory, psu, and drives. Cannot tell from manual where and in what position I can plug in my connectors for case front panel USB, IEEE 1394, mic, etc. Also, cannot determine the correct "orientation" for the system LEDs on the MOBO's system panel connector. This is my first build, and up to now it has been great.

I feel like I'm on a sinking ship at the moment though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Read your motherboard manual, the connection diagrams are there.

Nathan - Thank you for your rapid response. I have been reading my manual, but the header labels for USB and firewire do not appear to me to match what I see in the manual (are they for optional modules only?), and I'm afraid of frying the MOBO with an incorrect connection. So far I have not been able to get any help from the ASUS site. Still trying...

You will have to match up the appropriate pins and will have to cross reference the lian-li installation papers and the motherboard manual.

Worst comes to worse, you really don't have to connect them.

I am having the same problem...I cannot find the correct orientation of the connectors. The pictures do not provide any help. Being a novice, I do not perticularly know much about what a white wire or a black wire might generlaly be. If I could be informed whether a white or black wire is a good sign of being a "ground" wire, it would help, I would understand the pictures presented by the manual.

In the motherboard manual, it specifically tells you which connector should be connected to each pin.

each black connector on the USB cable has a label which can be easily referenced.

I ran into this exact problem not long ago on my first build, If you are referring to the wires for the Berg connectors on the LED's and Switches. Then the colored wires are the + and the white wires are the - . If you look at all the wires for the LED's and the Switches together, there should be a common color for the negative wires, either black or white. Hope this helps you.
