they are loud....
If you really want a "Good" system stay away from them, if you want something that is powerfull as all hell and give a damn about sound quality go for em....
check out the gigaworks 750 from creative |

| there's lots of speakers that support both xbox and pc, but its just pricy. Logitech pretty much made it for the fun of it, its not that pricy compared to other sound systems. Nice thing bout the Logitech's is that the cabling can be extended. Just buy other cable and connect it to the red and black connectors. That's what i did with my z560s ( the 4.1 system). |

Do yourself a favor and get the Z680's. You can get them online for under 300 bucks. I own them and they are incredible. Almost all the reviews I have seen praise them. The power they have is legendary amongst computer speakers. Also the DVD performance is truly remarkable. I hear the Klipsch are good but hiss alot and are more expensive. The sound quality is incredible if you invest in an optical cable. My friends freak out when they play games and watch movies because the 5.1 is so effective. If you have a good soundcard on your comp it helps as well because the Z680's are capable of producing some of the lowest lows I have ever heard period. The fact that someone is actually suggesting that you buy a Creative speaker product is disturbing. Many sites gave the Z680's a product of the year award for sound. I have 6 friends who bought them because they were so impressed with mine. Mine are almost a year old and still running strong with no problems at all. Just to note Nathan is correct, they are very loud if you want them to be. You can also play them at full volume with no distortion especially if you have a quality soundcard like the ZS pro from Creative. Just go buy them because there is nothing else that can compete with them at any price except for maybe the Klipsch, but at 270 bucks nothing comes close. _________________ Max OC p4 3.2C @ 3.94 Ghz

Does your motherboard sound have an optical input for speakers. This is important because you want to use the optical cable, the sound quality difference is incredible. If you do then stick with motherboard sound. If not go buy a Creative platinum zs pro because it has an optical cable input and output and the sound card processing really helps to bring out the best in the z 680's _________________ Max OC p4 3.2C @ 3.94 Ghz

Pssssss!!!!!!!!!! go and buy AUDIGY 2 ZS GAMER. comes with couple of games,halo,tomb-
raider, rainbow 6, splinter cell, and starwars: jedi academy, but if you have these
games y bother. just get audgy2 zs retail.
I also recommend Hercules 7.1 Channel PCI Sound Card, Model "GameSurround Fortissimo III 7.1" -RETAIL 45 bucks at newegg.com |

Do you have an optical input on your motherboard. If you do not I would go buy the ZS Platinum pro with the live drive which has an optical input. The ZS pro platinum is available online for less ( like $160). I would recommend getting it. If your motherboard already has an optical input use it and dont get a new sound card. Are you using a shuttle. If you are the shuttle has a built in optical input. The difference btw the Z 680's with the Creative ZS platinum pro is noticeable though so I would recommend that option if you have the money. _________________ Max OC p4 3.2C @ 3.94 Ghz

You would not need that many features. just get something complex yet simple to work with.
But if you need such features go for it. Shoot I would want one too!!!!!!!! |

Justed looked at a review and it's really 505 watts
Earlier versions use an older rating scheme (also complied to FTC standards)which causes people to confusingly label it 450 Watts. |

about to purchase the z-680s like i have been saying.. i am really looking foward to getting them and cant wait for the kick ass sound..
so my issue is as follow:
my computer is on the opposite side of the room as my tv/xbox - i would like to know how would i run a cable from my sound card to the sub.
or
would it be easier if i put the sub next to my computer and somehow run a cable from the tv/xbox to the computer...
ugh please help with my options.. i dunno what to do??
