Have you check your case fans for blockage and clean your videocard fan.

Sounds like overheating.

ok, you need to focus on more things than your CPU.

CPU is only one of the 6 components that make up your computer.

What is your case temperature?

I also own an Abit IC7 and i am positive that the temps read higher, its just because they do it the EXACT way. We are used to the way that's wrong, and thats what we want because we all can relate to those temps. So in terms of which is higher, the Abit's read 8-15 higher. My idle/load = 37/52 And im running 6 case fans.. case temp is 28C at full load. I do know one thing... that if my Thermaltake Subzero4G WONT cool a 3.45ghz processor, im gonna get a full refund, or ill threaten them with lawsuits or something because they guarantee it cools up to 4.0Ghz.

Already have a watercooling plan:

Koolance Exos 170$
Koolance gold CPU block 39$
Koolance gold VGA block 39$

ok i cleaned everything again... i forgot the VGA fan and it was a mess lets see case temp is readin at about 22 right now but its cold like 45 or so outside earlier it was almost 80 and case temp was probably around 60 so i guess i could lay off the comp during the hot hours of the day or someting... but water cooling looks like its in the future cuz its only gonna get hotter this summer... this is winter and its crackin 80* gotta love california

The Subzero4G is contributing to your high case temperatures seeing it has a peltier unit which really throws off the heat.

Instead of going overboard on a watercooling setup, how about trying a DECENT heatsink to cool your CPU.

Thermalright heatsinks are the best and would give you great performance at a fraction of the cost.

BTW, you said you have 6 case fans, which ones are blowing in and which ones are exhausting?

got 3 intake 3 exhaust and a thermaltake p4 spark7 heatsink and fan... without the darn ducting mod that i wanted... but couldnt mod it enough to accept the 70mm mounting bolts... but yeah... it gets hot here anyway... i need more exhaust fans or something... the board has a VGA cooler for the SB and the NB has the new style abit orb fan/heatsink... so i dont know why im getting so hot except for the fact that the surrounding air is well HOT... i am also using silver5 for compound... i was using a thermal grease and thought this might do the trick but didnt...

ahh yes the PSU also has 2 fans that exhaust the air out the back... so that would make some more airflow... if you look here www.racingda87stang.com at the P4 it would show the fan centered on the panel that i put there to put airflow directly over the CPU fan/heatsink

if you look at the pic (i was plannin the fan/heatsink for the CPU to be used with a Thermaltake "ducting mod") sorryu bout that you were all probably wondering WTF thats way off to be "directly" over the CPU

racingstang.. i am lookin to sell the subzero4G, if you are still interested... the thing cools the CPU fine and dandy, just the heatsink that the peltier is under, gets owned by the peltier (heatsink gets HOT) and heats up my voltage regulator(pwm) which is about 1 inch from the heatsink, to 50C+, making my system unstable over 3.4ghz =[

other than that, it works brand spankin new.. the bottom of it is even nicely polished, no scratches on the coldplate.

alrighty well two in front intake cooling the harddrives and the side panel are intakes and then the top and two in back... i dont know if you want to count the PSU as exhaust because that one uses the case temp to cool itself down...

So you have 4 intake and three exhaust?

well 3 intake and 3 exhaust... its only one fan on the panel... i swapped my panel one to make it an exhaust and it cooled the cpu a few degrees... so are more exhausting fans better? than intake?

Negative pressure is better.

Positive pressure start warm air circulation in the computer case seeing it can't readily be exhausted.

true just like a cars engine more flow and vacuum is better than pressure and restriction
