This is odd. I used to have 3dmark2001 score of 16426 at standard 2.4. I overclocked my 2.4 to 3.3 with 5:4 PC3200 and added a new hard drive (not saying that should necessarily speed it up), and now my score is 14246. I don't know if upgrading from 3dmark01 to pro 3dmark2001 SE did it, but something's up. No programs were running in background. Wireless Lan was connected, but not transferring any data.

I reran the tests at default 2.4- now my numbers are at 13225

Could be a driver being corrupted by the overclock.
Reinstall you video card drivers.

Happened to be the w-32 jeefo virus. naasty little bugger. infected all my programs. Every single .exe bigger than 200kb. Had to reformat and reinstall windows. Now I'm getting 18232. :-)
