Well...... had. Through a tangled weft of circumstances not only is the sysyem no longer running, it's whereabouts are now unknown. *growls*
But....
I outfitted my girlfriend's 2002 Hyundai Elantra with a Sony Xplod head unit, Power Acoustik 6x9s in the rear, Poiwer Acoustik 6 1/2's in the front doors, with the pre-amp outputs run to the L.A. Sound Tribal 1000 watt amp in the trunk, run to a pair of AudioBahn 12'' subwoofers.
It was quite thumpy. *L* _________________ __________[(Crayola)]>_____________

I used to own that Q-Logic box. It didn't like my amp though. _________________ __________[(Crayola)]>_____________

It was really wierd. When the bass hit really hard, the fuse would blow. If I put thet box on my friend Ricky's amp it would work fine...... I put a different set of subs on it and the amp worked fine also. It was really really creepy. _________________ __________[(Crayola)]>_____________

I think you were overloading the amps due to the different subs.
You have to install them to match the amp's ohm settings. _________________ Owner & Administrator

I had the same pioneer 10" woofers in a bandpass box in my saab turbo...coupled with a 400watt Clarion PA amp, 6x9 xpl0d 3-ways, and 4" kenwood 2ways. It was all running from my trusty old pioneer deh-p2000 cd player...needless to say, parts have been upgraded (4" alpine type-S in the dash now, alpine type-s 3way 6x9 in the back), but I'm keeping the amp/sub combo. They still hit mighty hard and are just loud enough to get looks while not being loud enough to completly destroy my sense of hearing, hehe.
Any reccomendations for a new headunit? I like pioneer, seem to get a lot for the money, but I'm open to suggestions :) |

Pioneer make excellent, high quality head units.
The one I got was a very hgh end model with the organic display and it is more like a computer than a CD player.
Go with the DEH-P6500 and you will be very happy. _________________ Owner & Administrator

i had, at one time, in my chevy s-10 a blaupunkt austin head unit, 2 sets of memphis 6 1/2" tri's, 2 10" mtx thunder 6000's, and 2 mtx amps pumpin out 280watts rms each. i have 2 awesome custom built boxes for it (one with jack and one w/o jack). if anybody is lookin for a box for 2 10's and has a regular cab s-10 i'll get u some picks and sell them cheap ($20 or so) sadly, the s-10 is no more as someone thought it would be a good idea to leave his '84 gmc 3/4 ton on a bridge late at night with no hazzards. oh well, i got an '00 z24 cavi now and when i get the time i'll work on that sound setup. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

| I still need wiring, tweeter, mids and the deck, but what I have so far is 2 12" MTX 9500 subs and 2 1000/1 JL dig. amps. Still trying to figure this out though. Getting a Finger print engine start program in my car....harder then I thought. |

I DID have a method to destroy my hearing, but them my baby died ('95 Chevrolet Corsica, can be seen at http://members.cardomain.com/bsandnes )
The Power HX2 rockford sub has an insane excursion and forces your bowels to do things nature hadn't intended them to do. Pictures and a few more details are on my cardomain page. _________________ |¤| |

You think thats nice, heres mine. Front left speaker blown, front right speaker, whatever the hell Nissan uses for their 1986 pickups. Box in the back with 2 Panasonice 8 1/2s. Having expensive hobbies cost money. Maybe I'll be able to afford some better stuff whenever summer gets here and I get a better job. _________________ Love Is Not Enough... |

I have the same head unit, With a 1800 watt Audiobahn amp (Technically made for rack mounting, buuutttt it was a good price and its much more kick asss than everything I had seen for the car) going to 800watt 12" MTX thunders. The speakers in teh doors are stock at the moment. Have not had a reason to change them yet. _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"

For some reason I highly doubt that is even still in your car. I highly doubt any of it is still in your car since its been in the impound lot for as long as it has. Sorry to be the realist here. =[ We can reuild it.. we have the technology. _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"

In my Mustang I have dual alpine component systems both front and rear s series 61/2's in front and s series 6x8''s in rear including dual 12" Alpine Sseries subs with a Clarion DXZ435 Head Unit with the optional sirius satellite radio installed. Best sounding system Ive ever heard. Now all i need to do is dampin the sound from my exhaust so that i can hear the damn thing...hahaha _________________ Remember When Sex was safer than racing???
