I'm considering the new DFI LANPARTY NFII, for my newest build. I'm not a big gamer and I'm not sure how much tweaking I'm going to do right away. I plan to put a xp2500 barton core on this mobo. This will be my first complete build, is this a good mobo to start with or should I start with something simpler? Any recommendations or insight will be greatly appreciated.

the dfi lanparty nf2 rev.b would be a terrific choice. i, however, have chosen the abit nf7 (non-s b/c i have no need for sata or firewire). one perk from the abit is an actively cooled northbridge, but i believe the dfi has rounded ide and f.d.d. cables. both are most excellent

Ok well i'll post over here now if you didn't read my other post . I did my very first complete build last week and it was with the LanParty nForce 2 Rev. B. I built it with the 2500+ Barton just like you are wanting to get. For my first build it went perfect and I couldn't be happier with this board. I would definetlly recomend it to anyone. The rounded cables are great, and I'm gonna get a UV light soon
