I lost the link but here is what I got from it.
To you hyperthreding you have to have:
1. compatible proccessor (of couse )
2. compatible motherboard/bios
3. compatible operating system
here is a picture that clearly showing hypertheding enabled on my comp...

you can clearly see the two proccessors in cpu usage history section _________________ p4 3.0c @ 4ghz, Kingston hyperx pc3200 2X256 2-2-2-5 , abit ic7-g vdimm volt modded, Wd Raptor 36 gb

uhhhh....
i guess your right...
xp home does support it....
but still xp pro academic was a little cheaper then xp home for me....

| Well, I use XP Pro because all my home computers are networked, so I can store stuff on my wifes box, my laptop, my desk box and my emulator, and work all from my desk, or transfer files from there. I also have a 13 gig hard drive in an external USB case to take files to and from other peaples computers. And no, I am not in the business. I just love this s$#t. |
