Mobo - MSI P6n SLI Platinum

hehe, new bump

Athlon 64 x2 5050e @3.1ghz
Asus M3N78-EM
4gb corsair XMS2
Powercolor Radeon 5850 @ stock

3d06 @ 1280x1024 no AA/AF
11860

3d06 @ 1920x1080 AA x8 AF x16
11820

Only thing that budges the scores is a CPU OC lol, bottleneck much

Got a Phenom II x4 on order, I should be seeing around 20k in 3d06.... Still, not bad for a little 45w CPU

Well, rig in my sig got 10777 at stock, which isn't too bad for a relatively old-ish setup. I'll post scores when I build my new i7 920 rig in a couple of months *hopefully*

10777 is a great score on that spec. Looks like my new CPU is going to have to wait till I get back from Zimbabwe in March. I have to go half way across the world to get my passport renewed because there is no Embasy here. I seriously hate my nationality.... After the expenses of the trip I'll be lucky if I can afford a Phenom II x3. Ah well, at least I already have the 5850 :)

I've got a Q6600 to drop in here, if I ever get around to it. Truth is, I've been putting it off, nothing I do really uses four cores, so I'm better off overclocking this puppy with a good bump. That and the quad is a retail proc, while the 6700 is an engineering sample. Runs a little quicker anyway.

New score:
3dmark 06: 18715

Spec:
Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.6
4GB DDR2 667 @ 800mhz
1GB Radeon 5850

I can get it a lot higher but there isn't much point other than bragging rights. It caps all my games out a 60FPS at 1920x1080 max settings with vsync.

Did some tweaking, raised my score a bit.

10926 on the same hardware. Meh, 150-something gain, but not bad.

150 isn't anything to sneeze at a 10k+ score is still more than good enough for most if not all aplications these days.

*grin* I know. But I want a rig that nails 100k in 3DMark Vantage.

8800GTX died of old age Sunday, got an XFX HD 5770 XXL to replace it. Same rig, same setup, just the card change. 14,926 in 3DMark06. C'mon guys, catch up! If I overclock this rig, I'll be passing 15.5k easily.
