I think my speakers are dying

I have an old logitech x530 5.1 speaker setup and I think after 6 years they are finally dying my two left speakers fade in and out every once in a while. the reat of the speakers are fine does this mean the speakers are bad or are just the connections bad

replug in the connections and unplug the speaker system overnight.

Sometime static develops. Also, blowing out with canned air is a good thing and making sure the amp is clean and cooling properly.
