First birthday in 23 years sober though, and I kinda have a 20 year old girlfriend now, so I guess that's all good. Kinda wrong, I guess, but I'll take it!

Yeah, the sober thing has been a tough go the last month. Not that I've wanted to go out and get hammered, but it just seems like now that I'm cleaned up and trying, people treat you like garbage for something you stopped doing.

Well, that and just about every store in town sells booze now, even the pharmacies. Makes it a little tough when I have to refill different meds on a regular basis and have to walk past a store-length aisle of beer. Guess the state needs the money to pay for the unemployment checks they have to cover now that they've driven just about every business out of the state.
