I am attempting to manage our network using group policies. Nothing was set up when I arrived and I have been slowly teaching myself and implementing small things. I have run into a problem however that I have no idea how to fix or what could be the issue.
We have two separate IP segments say, 11.69.89.xxx and 11.73.89.xxx. Our domain controller is on the segment 11.69.90.xxx. The problem that I am having is the Group policies are only applying to the 11.69.89.xxx segment and not the 11.73.89.xxx segment. I am not sure where to begin looking for the problem so any guidance on this would be much appreciated.
Im thinking possibly this is because the server resides on 11.69.xxx.xxx???

just thought I would follow up. After going around and gathering as much info as i could about the different vlans and their connection to the domain controller i realized that the computers on the nonclinical vlan werent able to ping the domain controller.
Group policy works by pulling updates from the server rather than the server pushing the updates to the clients. BEcause the computers werent able to request the information because of firewall settings, the server wasnt providing it to them.
