I have an ASUS A8N32-SLi Deluxe Mobo, it worked fine until yesterday we switched it on and all I can hear is a long non-stopping beep. I tried removing everything leaving only the cpu...but same problem. What does the single beep code mean? Anyone can direct me to a guide? Or knows what it means ?

Thanks

Have you checked your manual?

It will be in the troubleshooting section in the back of the manual.

Im about 90% sure that you have an award bios

http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/awardbeep.htm

Here is a link to beep codes for the award BIOS. It seems that you may have something going on with your ram. Reseat it.

Thanks man...I think its that bios yes..the problem is that if its a memory problem, i still dont know if the memory it gone bad...or the mobo just broke from the memory slots :S I cannot reset from bios as nothing appears on the monitor, and I tried taking it apart and resetting the bios from the battery or CMOS reset but still same problem :S dont know what to try new as I dont have any spare ram

Funnily enough on my manual there is no error code listing i check it from top to bottom :S ASUS style :S I'm starting to hate these mobos...gave me so much problems

Will try to find a way through...in a way I just hope its a mobo problem and not a CPU or RAM...i would just have to buy a new mobo then

Had to change everything, Mobo, CPU and RAM...wasn't worth buying a new Mobo socket 939 anyway. The code should have been something to do with the ram. Since the ram I had was dual kit, I tried each stick singularly on every Ram Slot, but everytime the Mobo would keep on beeping...so I doubt it was the RAM since its quite hard for the Ram to break both at the same time and OCZ have never given me any trouble at all.

If you still have any ideas let me know I still have the old stuff maybe I can save it from the scrapyard lol

I would say that the mobo took a crap. The processor is most likely still good. CHances are that its still under warranty. Asus does a 5 year warranty I think? I had them rma a p4p800 board a while back that was like 4 years old :).
