Batch file for ping reports

Hey guys,

I'm just starting to teach myself how to write simple scripts and the thing I'm trying to accomplish right now is I want to create a batch file that will ping an ip address every minute and when the ping is not successful I want it to show the date and time it was not successful in a text file as well as a count of the number of times it was not successful.

I know how to make it run every minute but it's the rest I don't know how to do. Anyone know how to do this?
