AGP in PCI

I once had an AGP video card, but it was before i got a new motherboard so i only had ~5 PCI slots and i just shoved the video card in one of the PCIs, now that i think back on it was that a bad idea? it worked for about 2 years without any problem too...

Never shove anything where its not designed to go (considers joke..... nah) , you will fry your system that way.

It wouldn't have. The PCI slots are not only a complete different pin-out, they're also over an inch closer to the PCI shield. He would have had to cut a hole in the case so the card could stick out the back.

hmm it was a while ago so i might have confused it; it might have been a PCI in and AGP. it doesn't really matter though i have an AGP in an AGP (*happy*), just curious...
