Bottom line whats better a built in tv tuner or getting a add on one. I.E USB, PC Card type. Anyone have any expericnce with tuners _________________ Intel P4 3.2GHz HT 800 fsb*

The problem with a built-in is that you have no alternative choices.
The problem with a USB model is the potential for inadequate bandwidth.
I don't believe you can add a TV tuner to a laptop other than at the time of manufacture, so the only way is to get one already on it as an original feature.
Suggest you explore the USB ones first. Hauppauge has a new one for $100. Also, check out Avermedia.
