So as many of you might now i ordered a new computer and am getting the thermaltake eureka case.

IF i can get a modding shop that will deliver here and take credit cards then my thinking for my new case is as follows....

1 - Add an extra blue 120mm fan to the back of the case
2 - Add 2 (?) or 1 big fan to the top of the case in front of my PSU extracting the air upwards and outwards from the case and away from the PSU....650W PSU want to keep it nice and cool
3 - Add a blue UV cathode tube
4 - Change the wires to blue uv reactive wiring
5 - Sleeve anything not sleeved in blue uv reactive sleeving
6 - Install a Hardcano 13

Bein a n00b at tweaking is this too much for me take on i know that installing the UV cathode, the extra 120mm fan, the wire changing and the hardcano installation won't be difficult it's just the sleeving and the cutting of holes in my case that are causing me some concern.

Any thoughts on my considered mods would be much appreciated and i will post pics when and if i get it finished.

My advice........wait until you get the main rig built, then decide what it needs.

You may not need a blowhole fan (on the top of the case) as the Eureka is a pretty good case for cooling. Sleeving is a great idea, but you'll need the proper tools if you're going to re-sleeve your PSU wiring. A bent paper clip is not really the way to go, here. You can buy PSU modding toolkits for cheap, so I'd look into one.

You'll need the fan at the front of the case, but make sure it's a lower output CFM than the one at the rear, or at least matched. I prefer negative air pressure (exhaust blowing out more than intake draws in) for best cooling.

You may also find that all the blue UV reactive stuff is too much. And, if you're not planning on a windowed case, the UV sleeving is a waste of money, as is any cathodes or LED fans. You'll never see them, so why waste the money? The Eureka does come with a smallish side window, but not enough to show off any fancy wiring and sleeving you do inside the case.

Get that sucker tweaked and running at top speed, then see what you want to add......it's always easy to spend more money later than to try to return stuff you don't like.

I have to disagree with you on the negative air pressure there FnF, I find positive pressure yeilds better results unless you are water cooling everything. More pressure in the case means more air for the CPU cooler to push over the HSF, also, denser air absorbs more heat and by defualt is in itself cooler, just look at pressurised containers. I understand the logic behind negative pressure in that hot air is expelled quicker but if you have a vaccum in the case then there is less to absorb the heat before it is expelled.

Just my observation

I said I prefer.............

I've done it both ways, just had better luck with negative pressure, or at least equal fans front and rear.

what happened? why not?

But as for your question....my first suggestion.....get new wires long enough to hide everything. Neatly tuck wires behind the mobo and get it nice and clean in there.....then think of what to do....go for a full overhaul.

The capacitors on the regulator circuits are about to fail if they haven't already. (4th from left looks as if it's about to have puppies)
You're due to have some problems in the near future.
First thing you could do is blow the dust out.

My advice to you....dont mod this rig...save your money for when that board fails....you'll need it.

Yep, could be fine for a while. Probably the high side. (input side=higher voltage) But like TH says I wouldn't run it for anything critical. But a similar mobo would be only like $50 US, so replacing it would prolly be worthwhile, if you're going to keep it.

I might have one. I cant guarantee it works....but ive never used it and it came with a barebones kit from tiger direct.

If you calculate shipping of 1lb from Glen Rock, NJ USA 07452 to where you are in isreal....i'll send it to you. Just pay for shipping. I have no use for it.
