SAMSUNG LCD TV 40" R76B MODEL

Hi guys, anyone knows or has guide with pictures of how to open the samsung lcd tv 40" R76B ?? Is it simple to take the back of the casing off, like common CRT TV ? Or does it have any wires or circuits attached to the rear of the case?

Should be as easy as popping off the rear shell.

Either to replace the screen, or hes actually gonna mod it... sound activated LED lighting, Custom Carbon fiber trim and wall recessed. Sounds good.

But really what are you taking it apart for?

No because I had a slight problem with its sound, they told me it could be that from the factory they might actually not clipped the parts correctly and might be vibrating with high frequencies.

But I have solved the problem as it was a bad reception that caused a horrible sound quality

Wouldn't have enjoyed taking apart a new model from Samsung...its really a piece of art guys.

Sry about that multiple post.....this pc at work su**s lol

Yeah i think i have a wiring problem from the antenna to the digital receiver, cause i have a joint. Im gonna replace it and make a whole single connection.

From the satellite receiver the signal is really good.

Well, a few more days have passed since then and I noticed I still had a vibrating sound problem when some low frequency sounds were on.

I finally decided to open it....a very shaky moment I admit lol but it was relatively very easy, just a lot of screws and the back cover came off very easily. I checked if I had any unclipped parts which could have been causing the vibrating problem, but I noticed that everything was OK

So I took off the two small but bloody powerfull speakers and covered them with a piece of foam like the ones used in pillows hehe

and I can say I solved the problem.

There was no seal or any indication that I opened it, so if something happens I will just remove the small modding I did and give it to my supplier hehe

oh wait....are you saying that youre getting vibration from the speakers on low tones and loud things? Well...that says to me that the front of the speaker is hitting its housing when its forced to move more by the lower notes.

is the foam touching the front of the speaker? If so, get it out of there. Youre making those speakers less efficient by putting a restriction on the surround...and you risk damaging them. When the voltage goes to them for the lower tones, and they move naturally, think of the restriction the foam puts on them....now, where is that excess voltage going?

I sugges tryong to sit them lower in their mounts....can you get any pics for us?

No no, the foam is not touching the front of the speaker, I know the front of any speaker needs to have free movement forward and backwards in order to produce low frequency sounds otherwise it would get damaged.

The speakers actually fit into a holder, then this holder slides into the tv plastic chasis. The vibration was being caused when the whole holder was vibrating, and the foam was placed around the holder, not around the speaker itself. Inside the holder the speakers are still moving freely but not the holder cannot vibrate with the chasis.

Plus the foam is not disturbing the sound as it lets the sound pass smoothly.
