|
|
After more than a thousand hours, I finally made it.
I am hoping more people will get into 'scratch' modding after seeing my mod.
I know it is more difficult, but it is well worth it.
CPU mag normally keeps a strict 'recognizable pc' stance. I believe that the 'trashcan' mod and mine are the only 'out of the box' mods that have made it to the cover.
If you are interested in showing CPU magazine that more people are interested in ALL kinds of mods, please pick up a copy of this issue!
Should hit news stands in 2 to 3 weeks.
I am hoping to show Chris Trumble (Editor in Chief) that some of us are interested in the 'wookie' mods as well as the standard box mods.
I also have a free downloadable video on my site showing me airbrushing
it in black light. Click on this link and click on the MAD MOD MEDIA link on the left.
Absolut Extremes
I don't offer my services to the public anymore. (corporate only) I just post videos and how to's to help fellow modders.
I can post more pics if you want.
One small step for MODS, one giant leap for MOD kind |

you speak like we should know you and what you are doing...what are you doing? So you have decided to make a computer case shaped like the logo of a magazine that you don't feel recognizes your methods? I don't get it. I guess if you want our attention you should make a big [TN] logo system. Thanks for spamming though. _________________ |¤

Just trying to get people into scratch modding.
I am not selling anything.
Spamming would indicate I have something to gain from this personally.
I am not gaining anything personally.
In fact I am trying to help the likes of you, who MOD to the extreme.
The extreme modders only have a few outlets to show their works,
I would hope those outlets would find more interest into these type of
works.
A computer is more than just a box, don't you think?
If I came across as spam, I'm sorry, I am really into modding and wanted
to help the modders get more exposure. |

Quite alright. I honestly didn't expect a response. I checked out your site and I'd have to say its all very impressive. I thoroughly appreciate the time-lapse video of you at work. That is some killer stuff.
Do you have any detail shots of the innards and physical build process? What are the specs on that rig? _________________ |¤

No problem. Hard to take pics of the inside.
No room for the camera lens.
Not much room for anything. I wish I had smaller hands

ToggleHead,
I know what you mean as far as the dough situation.
There is nothing too fantastic in this box.
P3 800MHZ celeron with 768MB of Ram.
This was an old system I pulled from a restaurant P.O.S.
system. Figure I reward my hardware for great service.
I did it more as a trophy for my rack.
If I can help with your ideas, let me know.
The MOD I am working on now doesn't have anything great in it either. |
