My computer isnt cutting it for todays games, and I dont have the money to build a new one. I need to know what I should upgrade to get better performance. components are in sig... but I will list them again.

DFI lanparty pro875b (skt 478)
Intel P4 3.2 ghz
ATI 9800 AIW
1 gig PDP systems Patriot Ram 2,3,2,5 timings
220 gigs hdd space (Samsung 120 SATA, Maxtor 100 SATA)
Enermax Liberty 500 Watt PSU
DVD-RW
CD-RW
etc, etc...

I have oc'ed the system. got to 3.6 on the CPU on air with no prob, and oc'ed the vid card to 378 core, and 338 mem, but I still cant run my games too well... I am hoping to get this with my next paycheck or a little later.

A new vid card would be the most noticable upgrade. Check into the card Toggle just got, the X800GTO. Not too expensive, and far better than the 9800 you have now. Another gig of RAM would help a bit as well, but only in certain situations.

There could be a DX10 vid card for AGP, but it highly unlikely.

I see x800XT platinum editions for cheap coming up, still a blazing fast card for AGP.

Ok, little update. Finally got the X800 XL AIW. Have it in, and its a huge upgrade from the 9800 AIW, now I can play my games at native resolution.
