Is anyone here running an Intel Pentium D 830 Dual Core 3.0GHz?
What temperatures are you running at? What CPU heatsink and fan are you using? _________________ Asus P5WD2

I am running a 840EE clocked at 3.6ghz. And with the fans on the Black Ice Xtreme II turned up all the way the load temp is around 49 to 52c depending on room temp. But if the fans are on their lowest speed the temp will climb to the high 60's if the room isn't cold. I don't know what idle temp of the cpu is, as it has never been idle for more than about 30 seconds.
The cooling loop on this computer consists of: Apex CPU block, BIX II radiator, MCP655 pump, 1/2" ID tubing with a T-line for filling. The fans on the radiator are Silverstone FM121's.

They run real hot, so I went to the extreme and installed a Thermalright XP120 CPU Heatsink on my rig. It's a frigging monster

I really like the XP90C, it's truely the best of the best. In test I saw, the XP120 was just a little bit better, but you have bigger fins and a 120mm fan on top. The XP120 is such a monster, and it won't fit on some mobo's
I like a quiet PC I had a low CFM Stealth 92mm 28 CFM, 20 dBA on my XP90C. It did fine with crusing the net, but it would get hot when gaming, just not enough CFM's blowing through. I was going to go to a higher CFM 92mm fan . 28 CFM is really low for a 92mm fan
So in order to keep my PC as quiet as possible, I went with the XP120 with a 63.7CFM, 28dBA 120mm fan, so it handles the load much better wit the extra CFM's and it still real quiet _________________ Asus P5WD2

I also like the Zalman 9500 rox and is very impressive.
Go to zalman.com, chose intel 775 chipset
Choose CNP9500 LED and look at it O_o
