Can anyone suggest any place/site where I can find some savy people who know Netscape and Netscape email? Netscape somehow "upgraded" me from 7.0 to 7.01 without my consent, and in the process my email and address book failed to be converted. I've spent about 4 hours now trying to fix this problem, but I can't. I won't torture you with the details.
I would greatly appreciate any leads you guys can offer me.
Thanks.

best thing would be to import everything into another format (outlook express would be the easiest choice), and then re-import the emails and address book into netscape.
for what it's worth, if you prefer netscape over outlook, i would strongly suggest giving mozilla a try instead. the mail client is excellent.
but yeah, sometimes all you have to do is import into a different format then try again. most of the time that will work. i've had to switch many users from netscape-ie-outlook-mozilla-pegasus-etc. _________________ i'm the fool, he's the fanboy. together we are Fanboy and Fool... Roger --
Thanks for the reply.
To put simply, it is all screwed up. After about 12 hours of work I did mange to save about 90% of my email. I am still working on the address books. I had already tried your idea -- basically used Eudora. But you are not the first to praise the mozilla client. By the way, if you need an excellent site for solving Netscape issues, the the mother of all such sites (I discovered today) is www.sillydog.com.
Thanks again. |
