Turn the edit function on for registered users
I hate looking back at a post with a misspelled word, not being able to correct it _________________ Asus P5WD2

The edit function is off because of an incident that ocurred some time ago.
I wouldn't get my hopes up, but one never knows. |

I agree.........turn it and delete back on. You should only be able to edit your own posts (which will not be edited in quoted responses, mind you) and only be able to delete if nobody has responded........but I agree, I got used to being able to at least delete a post I screwed up horribly, now I can't even do that. I have to double-post. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Sorry, I'll be more careful next time. Sheesh!!!!
I didn't know the spelling Nazis were going to be paying such close attention.
It doesn't matter if you don't catch your own mistakes, does it? |

Hmmm. I have an idea (OWIE) . . .
It would be a little more time consuming, but could you implement a post edit review? By this, I mean a person can edit a post but it does not take effect until an admin or mod OK's it.
I know it could be time consuming and just plain annoying but it would give people the chance to edit posts. Just don't edit every post you make.

How about we turn the delete function on in all catagories.
Currently it is on in some and off in others.
Then, if after we post something, we realize we went a bit "ftr" on something we can delete it. _________________ .

Simple, put the edit button back. If someone abuses it to ruin a thread BAN them. _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

Another option, if Nathan does not want to turn those features back on, is to PM a mod or Admin to make a change for you.
Just an idea. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

And what happens when someone decides to leave the forum voluntarily and deletes all his posts before he leaves?
It's hardly a deterrent to ban someone who wants to leave.
The standard way of dealing with this scenario is to allow a function which MARKS a post deleted and hides it. Then the superuser can recover any post he likes, should a user abuse the function.
It would take a reasonable amount of work though, unless someone with a similar system has already done it. |

This may be a bit off topic, and I apologize if it is, but whatever happened to FTR? Did he finally get banned? _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"
