I noted that when I leave the 4216 on standby for a few days and then start to scan or copy documents using the automatic feeder, the scanner light DO NOT turn on for the first few pages, therefore, all the faxed pages or the printout were BLANK papers! Until after a few pages, the scanning light (green light) then switch on and everything got normal again. What is the problem?
The other way to get around this is only by opening the cover and use the glass table to copy, but of course it would be very inconvenient for multiple pages.
